The Genders family winery and our McLaren Park vineyard are near the centre of the McLaren Vale township. McLaren Park is named from the adjacent historic recreation park. Our family has been here for almost sixty years since my father Keith Genders purchased the vineyard in 1948.

The vines are tended by Keith and me, and I vinify the fruit on site in our winery.

Each wine I produce is the result of an individual assessment of what the fruit of each different vintage offers, and how I can best use and capture its particular flavour profile. Having grown up on this vineyard I can compare its attributes with those I have experienced in many Australian and overseas winemaking regions. I strive for deft and minimal handling of the fruit and base blends, to create single site wines of individuality and unique flavour.

We release only mature wines following storage in our air-conditioned warehouse, and our red wines will comfortably cellar from 5 to 15 years.

I hope that the flavours of McLaren Vale and the Genders distinctiveness shine through to provide an enjoyable and truly unique wine experience.
